Autumn and Photography

This past Sunday, I had the joy of working with my newest friend Roderick. He is a photographer, I've got to say he really knows his stuff. He is a good artist with a discerning eye and very dedicated to art of perfection. He was kind enough to show me some of his photography techniques. I must say, he has an eye for the beautiful and interesting that  I hope to acquire in the future. You see, I am a clueless photographer.  I'm one of those who had read the manual just once, and couldn't be bothered switching the buttons to settings other than the AUTO one.   At first I wasn't interested about techniques, I was just keen to take pictures. But through Roderick I have learned that taking good pictures takes a lot more than setting the camera on AUTO and pushing a button. He said, its about patience, experience and passion for photography.
Since we both love the great outdoors, we decided to go to Moses H. Cone Park and Grandfather Mountain to take some photos and test my skills. I was fortunate enough to be at the right places at the right time. It was perfect as autumn was making its presence known. The leaves were turning from greens to bright reds, oranges and yellows. It was just so beautiful.
Below are some of the pictures that I took. A few pictures are of Roderick's and myself. Enjoy.:)

Well I guess my first photography lesson turned out well. I hope to take better pictures in the future though. Thanks Roderick for a great day of photography. :)
